About Us
Voigt's Sheet Metal Works, Inc was founded by Mr. George Voigt and his wife Faye in 1946. As Valdosta grew, so did Voigt's. In the early 1950's, with arrival of the paper mill (PCA), Voigt's ventured into fabrication of pipe and millwright work for the mill. Then as other industrial businesses came to Valdosta, they turned to Voigt's for their metal fabrication needs. Voigt's quickly began to outgrow the shed behind their house , and when I-75 came through Valdosta , Mr. Voigt jumped at the opportunity to sell that property and purchase the location at 2011 Springhill Drive, where Voigt's Sheet Metal and Voigt's Steel Supply are still located today! When Mr. Voigt retired and his sons, AL and Kenny took the reins, they continued to operate Voigt's with the same work ethic as their father.
1986: Voigt's Steel Supply opened
1989: Voigt's Crane Rental was established
2006: Voigt's Metal Fabrication was opened in Moultrie, GA.
2015: Voigt's Crane Rental expanded and a new facility was built located off I-75 and houses Voigt's huge inventory of cranes, rigging, and heavy hauling equipment.
For over 70 years Voigt's has grown to be one of the most respected family-owned companies in the south.
